Industrial Project Manager


Join our leading industrial pressure vessel manufacturer located near the Richmond airport! English Boiler, LLC is 50 + years strong and is seeking a full time Project Manager. Primary responsibilities include planning, budgeting, coordination, and implementation of the project throughout all phases of the design, drafting, purchase, fabrication, installation and troubleshooting of industrial water tube boiler systems. This role is in direct contact with the customer and their engineers throughout the lifecycle of the project. This position reports directly to the President.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Four year technical / engineering degree preferred but will consider two year technical degree with 3 years relevant project management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office; Project is a plus
  • Effective math, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read CAD drawings and wiring schematics
  • Organized and detailed oriented; ability to gather information and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as a team
  • Handles stressful situations in a professional manner
  • Potential for 10% overnight travel required in North America
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful post offer background and drug/alcohol screening required

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of industrial watertube boiler systems including A.S.M.E Section I code
  • Knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as burners, combustion controls and deaerators
  • Knowledge of boiler ancillary equipment such as valves and instrumentation

Primary Responsibilities

  • Acts as the point of contact for the client’s engineers for all technical issues.
  • Maintains a project and budgeting schedule that is visible for others within the company. This schedule has the necessary milestones to identify major phases in the project and covers all in-house disciplines.
  • Assists in controlling expenses within limitations of project budget.
  • Incorporates customer’s comments and specification with initial design created by the sales team in order to provide final design input to drafting department.
  • Compiles project submittals including equipment schedules in accordance to the specifications for customer review.
  • Reviews fabrication drawings for accuracy and adherence to customer contract specifications prior to production release.
  • Coordinates activities concerned with project to maintain schedule internally and with sub-suppliers.
  • Orders and tracks sub-vendor purchased components and confirms correctness upon delivery.
  • Assists during the start-up and commissioning of equipment on customer’s site as necessary.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established policies to achieve overall objectives of this position.
  • Manage schedules and tasks to meet customer expectations to ensure high level of customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of the project; Keep customer informed on the status of project and any outstanding issues.
  • Assist other project managers and management team with other duties as assigned

3D Draftsman


Join our leading industrial pressure vessel manufacturer located near the Richmond airport! English Boiler, LLC is 50 + years strong and is seeking a full time 3D Designer Drafter. This role will leverage Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Reports to the Lead Draftsman.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 1 to 3 years of successful experience in the CAD field working with AutoCAD and Inventor (illogic experience a plus) in the mechanical / manufacturing industry experience highly desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office especially Excel
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent mixture of experience and education required.
  • Autodesk certification a plus.
  • Inventor certified user or professional a plus
  • Attention to detail
  • Effectively multi-tasks
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Safety, attendance, and a willingness to learn in a drug free environment must be priorities of the applicant.
  • Four day work week (Mondays – Thursday) with minimal overtime required
  • Post offer background and drug/alcohol screening required

Primary Responsibilities

  • Transform concepts into detailed and accurate drawings using computer aided design
  • Work in a timely manner to meet deadlines for assigned projects
  • Effectively communicate with team members
  • Assist in developing and maintaining CAD standards and libraries
  • All other tasks as assigned.
